“The gods visit us disguised as strangers” - The Odyssey, by Homer.
I often refer to my homeland, Greece, as the “birthplace of hospitality,” The reason lies deep within its history.
Step right up and get ready to learn about the ancient Greeks and their legendary hospitality! Back then, showing kindness to strangers was more than just a nice thing - it was practically a religious obligation! You see, the Greeks believed that anyone who knocked on their door could be a god in disguise, testing their willingness to welcome the unknown. Talk about pressure!
But don't worry, that spirit of warmth and friendliness is still alive and well in Greece today. We call it philoxenia, which means being a "friend to the stranger." It's all about opening your heart and home to visitors, whether they're old friends or new acquaintances. And let me tell you, this isn't just a fad - hospitality is woven into the very fabric of our culture.
So come over, put on some comfortable shoes, and let me show you what Greek hospitality is all about. It's not just an act of kindness - it's who I am at my core.

Meet me, a Greek-American hospitality enthusiast who has turned his passion into a lifelong career. Growing up in Athens, one of the world's most popular tourist destinations, I quickly learned to appreciate the beauty of diverse cultures and personalities. With an innate love for hospitality, I was always eager to make new friends and create unforgettable experiences for those around me.
At 18, I moved to the Big Apple to attend the College of Technology, where I pursued my passion for hospitality management. With certifications in Food & Beverage Cost Control, Operations Management, Culinary Arts, and Hospitality Management, I was well-equipped to take on the competitive industry.
Over the last 18 years, I have honed my skills and built a reputation as a top-level hospitality professional at prestigious establishments across the East Coast. From The Walt Disney Company to Morton's Steakhouse, The Boro Hotel to Beebe's, and Avra Madison Estiatoro, I have left my mark in the industry, delivering impeccable service to satisfied guests.
While I still reside in NYC during the winter months to assist my corporate clients in planning events, I return to my homeland every summer to share my love for Greece with visitors. As a native-born and raised Greek who speaks English with an American accent, I am the ideal food tour guide, providing an authentic experience that combines my knowledge of local cuisine and culture. With tourism booming since the pandemic, there's never been a better time to explore Greece, and I am here to make your visit unforgettable.
